I’ll explain it. We all have people somewhere in our country that we claim don’t actually ARE from our country.. In Norway that’s people from Bergen.. They talk strangely, they tend to think they are better/different/blabla.. I’d say Bergen is the North Dakota of Norway ;P

Not that far off in fact. I could give you a link or two.. but if you don’t speak Norwegian it’d be pretty much pointless.

Yeah pointless. Sometimes Norwegian is close enough to German that I can figure out the gist of it, but it’s too different. Looked it up on wiki and saw that the dialect is influenced by low German and Danish. Also I am aware of the Scandinavian tradition of making jokes about Danes.

We have a saying here in eastern Norway: “if you speak Norwegian and English and understand some German you’ll do fine in Netherland but you still won’t understand Danish”. Written Danish is quite easy, but... yeah :)

Hehe. Swedes, Norwegians and Danes understand eachother, hell.. we mostly understand german as well :P
